The publication contains an abstract and full paper of contributions from a conference Professionalism in Nursing III with international participation within the 10th anniversary of the foundation of Faculty oh Health Sciences of Palacký University. The conference focused on science and research in nursing, legal and ethical aspects of nursing care, evidence-based nursing practice, and clinical education environment for health professionals. The papers describe the evaluation tools in nursing care and their implementation in clinical practice, the issue of dignity in providing care in the cultural environment of the patient, and also the factors determining the effectiveness of nursing care (eg wound healing, nutrition etc.).
