Manažerská imaginace

Rozhodování manažerů, racionalita, intuice a metafory

Veronika Gigalová

The book Management imagination, decisions of managers, rationality, intuition, and metaphors deal with managerial decision-making, which – if we want to know them irreducibly and understand it more deeply – we also have to understand two contradictory levels: rationality and intuition. There is no clear and unambiguous border between these categories, although managerial decision-making is generally understood to be a purely rational process. The publication points to the fact, that not only knowledge, experiences and emotions infl uence our decision making, but that we oft en decide intuitively through our heuristice based on the above-mentioned knowledge, experience and emotional foundations. However, for the scientifi c community such a claim means a research problem with a description of how emotions and intuitions are represented in decision making.
