Hodnota chyby

Chyba a její místo v životě, v učení a ve škole

Adéla Antlová

This book is an attempt to create a comprehensive overview of theoretical knowledge related to the topic of errors, from the terminological definition and description of errors as a part of the learning process, through its definition within the educational reality, to the definition of the meaning and value of errors for humans. The author relies on research by world experts, especially in the fields of psychology and pedagogy. However, for a more comprehensive view, knowledge from other fields is also added. We can perceive errors in two ways, as our failure or as an opportunity for growth. In any case, errors are a natural part of our lives, and therefore it is more advantageous to learn to use them as opportunities. It is human nature to use errors in the learning process, and schools should support and develop this natural process. Not dampen it with tools of external motivation. What should a school environment look like in which errors are effectively used? The answer is not easy. This book provides theoretical foundations and practical examples for the everyday work of teachers or any educator. At the same time, the book draws attention to deeper problems that require complex systemic changes.
